What makes the Maria Theresa so iconic is the metal arms covered in crystal. Typically, there is no supporting central bar; instead the chandelier centre is an extension of the design. The hand-blown, hand- cut crystal sphere hanging from the bottom acts as a balancing support. These chandeliers are richly decorated with crystal trimmings, whose facets refract the light thousands of times over. The star trimmings are hand-pressed and glass rosettes cover the arms. Every detail is handcrafted perfection
